10 YEARS Guitarist Talks Life On FAMILY VALUES
September 5, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: 10 YEARS has spent just over a month on the Family Values festival tour with KORN, DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, Japanese act DIR EN GREY and others. Guitarist Matt Wantland told Launch that he's pretty much got his daily routine down once his group finishes its second stage set. "I try to catch a little bit of every band, it's hard sometimes," he said. "But I spend a lot of time trying to teach DIR EN GREY how to speak dirty American words, English words. Everyone's gotten to be so close out here, we're just, it's like a giant parking lot party. So you just run around and meet the few people you haven't met, and just hang out with everyone."
Family Values stops today (Tuesday, September 5) in Saratoga Springs, New York, with the tour slated to end on September 22 in Virginia Beach.
10 YEARS is lining up a headlining jaunt for this fall, with Canadian act EVANS BLUE and ALLELE along for the ride.
"Waking Up" is the latest single from 10 YEARS' debut album, "The Autumn Effect", which has sold 340,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
